Easily the worst shaver I've ever used. Right from the first use it tore out hairs instead of cutting them, and it's terrible at shaving the contours around my neck area. This is a very painful experience and it's not worth the purchase. Stay away.

Simple but very functional electric razor
I don't use a razor every day nowadays, and when I do I use it to clean up my beard, and only sometimes to remove it completely when there's some kind of revolution at home :-) I prefer electric razors to manual ones because I used to cut myself many times (smooth but at some-places irregular skin...), but the rechargeable ones don't seem to prefer me: as I use them irregularly, I don't have an established charge cycle (like, dunno, once every 20 days, or something like this), and their batteries don't seem to cope well with these complete discharge, complete charge cycles.

So I decided to look for something that doesn't care, and here come disposable batteries! I bought this razor with a little fear as I found no consistent reviews anywhere on the internet, even though there's another very similar looking product (maybe the same) under an other name, with some acceptable looking opinions and some mentions of it being slow, weak, not close enough, etc...

Great little machine - 2nd chance a little better
I use this to trim around my beard. The shape of the heads works perfectly for that job. I wound it up about two weeks ago and use it about 3 or 4 times a week and it is still running. Really precision machine.

BAD NEWS: the first charge lasted for several uses but each subsequent charge got shorter and shorter until now it last only a few seconds. Since I have discarded the packaging I am stuck with a faulty unit. Perhaps someone will honor the warranty. I will edit with this information when I know what happens.

Update: The seller sent me a new one without needing to send the old on back so I just sent it to the round file. The new one is better by some degree. But you still need to crank it awhile to get a good charge. Still better than batteries.

Flimsy
Despite its robust appearance, the Remington R5150 has a flimsy head assembly held together by the tiniest little pivot spring you ever saw. I was taken in by the titanium blades feature, but I would rather the pivot spring were made of titanium or, better yet, Kryptonite. Once it gets deformed, that looks like the end. The first time I pushed on the release button, the whole assembly jumped off the shaver and landed on the table, which is how I happen to know about the pivot spring because I had to reattach the head unit. The Norelco-like design of the three floating heads has been around at least since the 1950s, and I expected the technology to have improved since then. But, if anything, it has devolved because the piece surrounding the assembly is now made of cheap plastic instead of the original metal, considerably reducing its life span. I might have given the shaver more stars if it at least provided a good shave, but, unfortunately, it left my chin red from trying and my face...
