Not a terrible purchase. In fact, a pretty strong cut early in its lifetime. However, its limitation is that. The internal battery doesn't work well after several months of use, so you get weaker cuts. However, if you're looking for something cheap, and you don't mind buying 3 razors per year that may cost you less than a real "nice" permanent shaver, this is a good pickup (this is battery operated, but, after about 3-4 months, when you change the AA batteries and replace them with new ones, you still get weakened performance.)

Simple but very functional electric razor
I don't use a razor every day nowadays, and when I do I use it to clean up my beard, and only sometimes to remove it completely when there's some kind of revolution at home :-) I prefer electric razors to manual ones because I used to cut myself many times (smooth but at some-places irregular skin...), but the rechargeable ones don't seem to prefer me: as I use them irregularly, I don't have an established charge cycle (like, dunno, once every 20 days, or something like this), and their batteries don't seem to cope well with these complete discharge, complete charge cycles.

So I decided to look for something that doesn't care, and here come disposable batteries! I bought this razor with a little fear as I found no consistent reviews anywhere on the internet, even though there's another very similar looking product (maybe the same) under an other name, with some acceptable looking opinions and some mentions of it being slow, weak, not close enough, etc...

Works fine as long as you don't drop it....
Let me start by saying that I love this razor, it's the best one I've ever used, but there is a problem with the way they are made. Everytime I drop one just a short distance in the shower, (which apparently I do often) it falls apart into two useless pieces. It has happenend to me at least 6 times now and I'm tired of it. The head is only held on with these two tiny little plastic clips that instantly shatter if the razor is dropped. It works fine as long as you don't drop it. If I wanted a razor I could only use once, and sometimes not even once, I'd buy the cheapest ones out there and throw them away every day.

Battery failed completely after three months
My previous Remington shaver lasted for years before the battery finally wouldn't hold a charge. I bought this one to replace it. It worked great for three months, then the battery stopped holding a charge. When you unplug the shaver after the lights show a full charge, then hit the "on" button, the battery goes straight to zero. The only way to use it is to leave it plugged into the wall. It is beyond the return period, so now I'm just stuck with it.

Excelant shaver, but not cheap
I wear a beard 5 months a year (nice for MN winters). I also blade shave on occation. I finally decided to replace my 20 year old Braun Flex Integra. It still shaved well with foil, cutter head and battery replacements over those years. I loved my old Braun. What an amazing product it has been to perform so well for so long.

There has been several claimed improvements over those years (some ad fluff, no doubt). Well this razor does a noticably better job on my 2 problem areas (reducing irritation and cutting my laid down neck hairs). I find that cleaning my face, drying and using a prep product like Lectrashave works very well for me. Also going dead against the grain a few passes is a must for those laid down hairs. I used to pull a disposable single blade razor over my neck to get the few remaining laid down hairs. NO MORE and bye bye with the associated irritation. I can comfortably shave every day with this razor, if I choose to do so. I still use an aftershave balm or...

I got this from the store (not Amazon), but I thought i'd chime in with my thoughts. It was working alright for a few days, but then I noticed all the debris on my shirt (i shave in the car on the way to work -- only @ red lights, hehe).. the compartment was supposed to catch the hair, but it just goes everywhere! my main reason for the purchase is to have a portable option, but this just doesn't cut it.
