Not Bad for an electric
Panasonic has really built a good product with this shaver. I shave my head and was tired of buying disposable razors that lasted a day or two. I looked for a good electric razor and found this reasonably priced model. It is very well made and does a very good job with shaving my face and my head. Don't think that it will shave as close as a disposable and you won't be disappointed. I end up using the Panasonic first and doing a quick touch-up with a disposable afterwards. I manually clean it and have never used the cleaning machine that came with the razor. The price can't be beat especially when you compare to the high-end Braun.

Optimus 50040 Shaver Review
Ordered this shaver and as usual with Amazon service, it arrived promptly.

Pros: Not a bad product for the money. Although the body seems flimsy, it offers a decent shave.

Cons: Unit has a NiCad battery. Had I known this I wouldn't have ordered this model. I had no idea anyone was still using these batteries. On top of that, it has a light that illuminates only during charging, but never goes out when charged.(Literature confirms this). Because of the NiCad battery, if you don't let it run down, it will develop memory problems and shorten its life, so you must wait until it runs down in the middle of a shave and will take 8 hours to re-charge. Again, literature says this.
